Best Comedic Timing in Stand-Up

I’ve been analyzing what makes certain stand-up routines land so well, especially regarding timing… It seems like a lot of successful comedians have perfect setups and punchlines that hit just at the right moment. Anyone have a favorite example that showcases great timing, or maybe some tips on how to appreciate this aspect more deeply?

You’re spot on about setups and punchlines. I think timing’s all about the rhythm; take Dave Chappelle’s specials, for example — his pauses are masterful. Have you checked out his delivery in ‘Sticks & Stones’?

I think a key to great timing is knowing when to let a joke breathe. Sometimes less is more; just look at how @carmichaels98 mentioned Chappelle — his pauses really ramp up the anticipation. Have you tried timing your own jokes that way?
