Anyone else fighting this - buyers love high-gloss packaging, but under our 4000K LEDs it blows out, kills the color block on front tables, and photographs like a mirror. Do you push for matte/soft-touch in samples, or have a lighting workaround that keeps it merch-friendly?
I push for matte/soft-touch on the front panel or spot-matte over the color block; it keeps saturation without the mirror. If you can’t change the pack, add prismatic diffusers and aim your track heads 30-45° off viewing angle, and for photos throw a CPL on the lens with a small white bounce to kill the hotspots.
Not the 4000K — you’re seeing specular kick from the aim. Clip-on hex louvers or snoots on the front-table heads and re-aim 10–15° off the shopper sightline; it kills the mirror without muting the color. If you’re stuck on panels, a micro‑prismatic overlay sheet does similar for cheap.
